Start of construction at Eiswerk and grant of building permit no. 2

A lot is happening at the same time right now in our project Eiswerk: The extensive refurbishment of Eiswerk’s existing buildings in Berlin-Mitte is already in full swing. The structural work for the new residential building in Koepenicker Strasse is progressing and the building permit for the new commercial building was granted. The extensive refurbishment of Eiswerk’s existing buildings in Berlin-Mitte is already in full swing. Currently, the facades and interior ceilings of the cooling house are being renovated and the fire damage on the roof from December 2018 is being repaired; the construction of the new roof has already begun. At the same time, the listed apartments are being carefully gutted and prepared for reconstruction. The structural work for the new residential building in Koepenicker Strasse is also progressing: The basement is largely completed, and the building will be growing by one floor per month.

A few weeks ago, the building permission was granted for building 2. The construction works of this new building located in the rear at River Spree is scheduled to begin as early as autumn of this year. Its architecture is reminiscent of the origins of the plot: stacked, sliding ice bars once produced in the ice factory. Further information: www.eiswerk-berlin.com
